Acrylic, graphite, charcoal, chalk, India ink on paper; 900 x 100 cm approximately.
One of the focuses in this series is to observe the passage of time through a different flow. The choice for the Journals is the rolling and unrolling of a nine-meter-long roll of paper. The cadence is given by the measurement of a table where one segment of work is performed at a time. And it is only rolled up after it dries, so that the other blank paper opening appears. The first Journal was designed to remember garments knitted from wool yarns. The Olísipo Journal, carried out at the ‘HANGAR Lisboa’ artistic residency, was used as a “nautical chart” of the trajectory of my research in Lisbon.
