Relating ancestral stories and the study of plant roots has been a circular movement where narratives and knowledge intertwine through, and in the company of, memory, land and water. My interest in a new ecology lies strongly in this tangle of descent that the present carries between past and future, shadow and light. The choice of Antenati, an Italian word, for this series also characterizes the point of thought between some linguistic belongings that guide me in my poetics.
