reIMPRESSIONS

reIMPRESSIONS

2025 | Casa Yara DW

Renata Pelegrini’s solo exhibition “REIMPRESSÕES” combines the presentation of recent works and the public launch of the book TENTACULAR. Both the new works and the publication reaffirm the artist’s interest in the natural world, ancestry, and memory.

In this exhibition, in an innovative way in Pelegrini’s trajectory, memory is invoked through 3D digitization and reprinting in ecological material of works originally made in ceramics by the artist; this is the LISTENERS series.

This multiple embraces the exercise of uniting times, allowing the knowledge of the past that we need to preserve, the tactile moment of the present experience with the object, and the legacy of the footprint we want to leave on the future of the globe to coexist. LISTENERS is an unfolding of two years of research and expands the conversation that Pelegrini has been carrying out since 2020 when, in Italy, she joined scientists and environmental advocates to advocate for the more-than-human through a digital platform in which she actively participates to this day.
